DESCRIPTION AND BENEFITS:

The project includes pedestrian improvements at seven intersections along Cleveland Avenue: Camden Avenue, E. 19th Avenue, Kenmore Road, Republic Avenue, Lakeview Avenue, Agler Road, and Lehner Road. Improvements consist of the installation of enhanced crosswalk markings, the installation of Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFB’s) or Pedestrian Hybrid Beacons (PHB’s) at each intersection and installation of new ADA-compliant curb ramps. Minimal pavement resurfacing is required where enhanced crosswalks are being installed and signage/striping will be updated to accommodate these improvements.

Public Involvement:

Project notification documents were distributed by the City and their consultant team consisting of an informational flyer posted at public locations, a notification letter mailed to property owners and residents within the project area, and a comment form for issuing comments. Those documents may be downloaded at the links below. Comments were accepted until October 29, 2021.
