Tentative Working Hours and Hours per Week: 25-32 hours per week. Hours will vary depending on programming needs.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills: • Effective communication, both in person and in writing (fluency in Spanish is strongly preferred);
• Ability to work well with a diverse group of staff and volunteers;
• Success at managing a wide array of tasks and projects and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment;
• Willingness to work select weekends throughout the summer and fall and to occasionally adjust hours to accommodate the needs of the job;
• Excellent organization and planning skills;
• Basic computer skills on a Windows system;
• Sense of humor

Job Description: The Community Connector who is part of the African American Male Initiative team, is responsible for advancing the Father 2 Father 2.0 mission and programs through the delivery of programs, services and events related to the F2F 2.0 and Infant Mortality Reduction. The Community Connector reports to the Assistant Director of AAMI.
Key Responsibilities: • Public speaking skills and comfortable working with groups, (small and large)
• Identify and pursue opportunities for third-party events and liaise with organizers
• Contributes to and helps implement plans to engage stakeholders and volunteers
• Liaise with internal departments, committees and external clients to facilitate the coordination of programing offered
• Strong interpersonal skills in establishing successful working relationships both internally and externally
• Other duties and committee work as assigned
• Develop and maintain project schedules and timelines for programming
• Administrative tasks associated with letter preparation and stakeholder correspondence
• Responsible for ensuring data regarding programming and events on the database current and accurate, including all data entry and information updates
