Metro Parks works to conserve open spaces and provide opportunities and places where people may discover and experience nature. Metro Parks educates the public about conservation and our natural heritage, protects and acquires park land, and provides safe, clean parks for public use. The opening of the Scioto Audubon Metro Park on the Whittier Peninsula near downtown represents an outstanding asset to central Ohio. It includes the Grange Insurance Audubon Center, a Bird Area and green space along the Scioto River.
