The YMCA of Central Ohio is a powerful association of men, women and children joined together by a shared commitment to nurturing the potential of kids, promoting healthy living and fostering a sense of social responsibility. We believe that lasting personal and social change can only come about when we all work together to invest in our kids, our health and our neighbors. That’s why, at the Y, strengthening community is our cause. Every day, we work side-by-side with our neighbors throughout central Ohio communities to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive.
The YMCA has enjoyed a long-standing partnership with Mayor Michael B. Coleman and departments such as Columbus Public Health, to make programs such as summer camp available to underserved communities. The YMCA is also committed to providing the programs and services that address our communities most pressing needs, such as chronic disease and childhood obesity. Through the Get Active Columbus website, the YMCA of Central Ohio will continue to enhance opportunities, services and communication to central Ohio families.
