Golden Hobby Gift Shop
The Golden Hobby Gift Shop is operated by the Columbus Recreation and Parks Department as a non-profit consignment shop for handcrafted items created by senior citizens in central Ohio. You'll find unique gifts, home and seasonal decor, and various wearable pieces throughout. Since 1971, more than 5,000 members have sold their items through the shop.
The Golden Hobby Gift Shop paused operations in March 2020, due to the COVID-19 emergency. Operations at the facility remain on hold. During this hiatus, the shop will be moving to another central Ohio location, to be announced at a future date. A re-opening celebration is being planned and details will be shared once they become finalized. Planning is also underway for a Golden Anniversary Celebration, as Golden Hobby Gift Shop will celebrate 50 years of operation in 2021.
We want to thank our dedicated group of volunteer staff, who devote their time and their talents to making the shop a wonderful experience for visitors and consigners, and whose hard work has contributed significantly to the shop’s success.
