National Night Out Budget 2021

Funding decisions will be made after a review of all applications by the Department of Neighborhoods.  Decisions will be based on the event plan proposed for 2021, compliance with application requirements and the availability of funding.

Grant funds can be used for refreshment that are made available to all attendees, materials such as plates, napkins and silverware and/or the rental of items to enhance the resident’s experience at the event.  All expenses must be actual, reasonable and necessary for the event and must be in line with the spirit of a National Night Out gathering.

To receive payment, grantees must:

  1. Return a signed 2021 National Night Out Grant Program Funding Agreement prior to the beginning of their event.
  2. Report the estimated number of attendees and provide a paragraph sharing the highlights from the program this year.
  3. Submit clean copies of each receipt showing how all funds were spent. These should not exceed the amount of your grant award. They are to be submitted online using the link provided by the Department of Neighborhoods.

Only those items that align with the budget that was submitted and approved as part of the application will be paid.

The deadline to submit receipts is Friday, September 3, 2021 at 5:00 PM.  If receipts are not received by the deadline, no payment will be made.

Department of Neighborhoods’ staff will review the receipts submitted by each payee and confirmed they are eligible for reimbursement.
