Wholesalers may purchase at our Compost Facility by account only in bulk quantities, per cubic yard, which weighs about 1,000 pounds. Where to Purchase

$19 per cubic yard  (under 300 yards)
$15 per cubic yard  (over 300 yards)

Com-Til Plus (soil conditioner)

       Yard WasteThe City of Columbus also offers  yard waste collection as part of Refuse Service. Weekly yard waste pick-up is provided to 227,000 homes. 
Contact the  311 Customer Service Center (call 311 or 614-645-3111) to find the collection day in your neighborhood. 

The yard waste collection page includes information such as: acceptable materials for pick-up, how to prepare yard waste for pick-up, items that will NOT be collected with yard waste and composting information.

Privately Owned and Operated Yard Waste Collection and Composting Centers:
These locations are available throughout the year for City of Columbus and Franklin County residents free of charge. Residents may be asked to show drivers license or other proof of residency. Commercial landscaping companies are required to pay a fee. 
Acceptable materials must be in biodegradable bags and may include:

  • Leaves
    •  
  • Grass Clippings
    •  
  • Bundled Twigs & Branches cut into lengths of 4 feet and bundled with twine or string
    •  
  • Garden Waste
