Once all prior steps have been completed, but before opening day, all businesses operating in the City of Columbus must register with the Columbus Income Tax Division by submitting a Request a Municipal Income Tax Account.
Paying taxes is required by all businesses in the city and provides funding for everything from public safety forces to street pavement. The Columbus Income Tax Division of the City's Auditor's Office is responsible for processing all Columbus tax related documents.
