Description and benefits:
This project is a collaboration between the departments
of Public Service and Public Utilities. The effort will add sidewalks to the
north side of 3rd Avenue between Edgehill Road and Doten Avenue and parallel
the updating of sanitary sewer lines along 3rd Avenue. The sidewalks
will be an extension of those built in 2017 between Edgehill and Olentangy
River roads. Americans with Disabilities
Act-compliant curb ramps will be installed at intersection crossings as
needed.
Estimated schedule:
Design: Spring – autumn 2017
Right-of-way acquisition: Necessity will be determined during design phase
Construction: Begins in autumn 2018,
subject to funding approval by City Council and weather conditions
