City of Columbus Seeking Feedback on Short North Parking Issues
The city of
Columbus’ Department of Public Service is distributing an online survey to
residents, businesses and stakeholders in the Short North to gain additional
feedback on parking issues in the Short North neighborhood.
“Public
input is vital to balancing the parking needs of residents and businesses in this
vibrant neighborhood. The city of Columbus is doing all it can to gather as
much input as possible to shape a parking pilot program to meet the growing
needs of the area,” said Director of Public Service Jennifer L. Gallagher.

The
Department of Public Service held four public open houses recently to gather
feedback on a proposed pilot program to regulate parking in the neighborhood.
Several hundred people attended the open houses and provided feedback. City
officials will consider feedback provided during the open houses as well as
from the survey to develop a revised plan to present to the public and for City
Council consideration.
Survey
responses will be accepted through the close of the business day on May 1,
2017.
