President Zach Klein is joining Alvis as it opens its new treatment
facility. The Center is expected to serve more than 250 clients this
year.
Last
year, Council passed ordinance 1733-2016 to provide Alvis with $250,000 to
renovate the facility.
The
center’s Recovery Choices program works to improve the overall health, welfare
and strength of the community by providing financial literacy, workforce
development and education program.
Each
year, the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction releases recidivism
data on individuals who participated in community corrections programs. Three
years after program completion, 79% of Alvis clients remained out of the
criminal justice system, compared to a national average success rate of 56%.
