S.R. 315 and City Streets
The City of Columbus, OhioHealth, and the Ohio Department of Transportation are collaborating on a series of public infrastructure projects that will improve vehicular, bicycle and pedestrian access within the North Broadway and Olentangy River Road corridors to accommodate current and future development opportunities in the area.
The planned improvements will enhance safety and operations on S.R. 315, associated entrance/exit ramps and City streets and will include:
- Roadway pavement reconstruction, resurfacing and widening
- New roadway construction
- Upgrades to traffic signals, signage, and median modifications
- Sidewalks, curbs, curb ramps and shared-use path
- Street lights and trees
- Additional improvements for safety and traffic movement
The City of Columbus hosted two open houses at OhioHealth’s Arthur G.H. Bing, MD, Cancer Center on May 22nd to provide the public with a more detailed overview of the planned improvements.
On July 6, 2017, the City will present an overview of the planned improvements at the Clintonville Area Commission meeting.
With the exception of the demolition of the northbound S.R. 315 exit ramp to eastbound North Broadway (currently ramp 6C), which is expected to start construction this summer, the projects are in the initial stages of design.
Public comments and suggestions are encouraged during the design phase. Below you will find links to project descriptions and exhibits pertaining to the planned improvements.
