Eastbound Third Avenue To Be Detoured
On Monday, Jan. 22, 2018, weather dependent, eastbound 3rd Avenue will be detoured at Northwest Boulevard, except for local business traffic. The detour is expected to be in place for the rest of the year because of railroad bridge construction nearby.
The detour is as follows:
Primary Detour: Westbound traffic on Third Avenue shall be maintained and eastbound traffic shall be detoured at Northwest Boulevard North to W. Fifth Avenue, then east to Olentangy River Road, and finally south back to W. Third Avenue, OR Northwest Boulevard South to Goodale Boulevard, then East to Olentangy River Road, and finally north back to W. Third Avenue.
Secondary Detour: Westbound traffic on Third Avenue shall be maintained and eastbound traffic shall be detoured at Edgehill Road North to W. 5th Avenue, then East to Olentangy River Road, and finally south back to W. Third Avenue, OR Bobcat Avenue South to Goodale Boulevard, then east to Olentangy River Road, and finally north back to W. Third Avenue.
Local business access will remain open on Third Avenue up to Yard Street. Business access on Third Avenue east of Yard Street shall follow the posted detour.
