What:
Columbus City Council is hosting a public hearing to discuss panhandling policy. The hearing will be an opportunity for outreach workers, business leaders and community members to provide testimony.
The focus of the hearing is to discuss effective ways of addressing panhandling to increase the overall public safety of Columbus.
All interested citizens are invited to offer public testimony. Comments are limited to three minutes. Anyone wishing to address City Council on this matter must fill out a speaker slip between 8am-5pm on the day of the hearing at Columbus City Hall.
The hearing will be broadcast on CTV, Columbus’ cable access channel.
