Councilmember
Jaiza Page, chair of the Housing Committee, will be joined by Director Steve
Schoeny to announce the return of the Learning Skills to Lift Neighborhoods
Grant.
The
program is awarding a total of $130,000 to not-for-profit organizations to transform
vacant and blighted structures or lots into productive parcels.
The
grants promote workforce development in the construction trades for youth
and restored citizens.
The
application period runs from Monday, June 25, 2018 to Friday, August 10, 2018.
