Jaiza Page, chair of the Economic Development and Small Business Committee, and
Councilmember Elizabeth Brown are hosting a public hearing on
proposed historic changes to a decades-long residential tax incentive
policy.
These
changes are based on a series of public meetings held last fall to solicit
community input following the release of a study by HR&A Advisors. The
study provided data regarding the City’s use of tax incentives to support and
encourage commercial, industrial and residential development.

All
interested citizens are invited to offer public testimony. Comments are limited
to three minutes. Anyone wishing to address City Council on this matter must
fill out a speaker slip between 8am-3pm on the day of the hearing at
Columbus City Hall.
The
hearing will be broadcast on CTV, Columbus’ cable access channel.
