Military, Veterans Join the City to Celebrate Purple Heart Recipients

What:
To
honor those who have been wounded in combat or given the ultimate sacrifice,
President Pro Tem Michael Stinziano, member of the Veterans' Affairs Committee,
State Representative Hearcel Craig and Columbus Veterans Affairs are dedicating
the corner of Front and Broad streets as Purple Heart Way.
This
event will kick off a weekend-long celebration that includes National Purple
Heart Day on Tuesday, August 7. Those uniting in support of the events include
veterans groups, representatives of the U.S. Military, patriotic citizens
and Purple Heart recipients.
City
Hall will light up purple to celebrate the week.
