Columbus Public Service Changes Because of Labor Day

Collection:
Columbus trash collection service will not be provided on
Monday, Sept. 3, in observance of Labor Day.
For residents assigned a collection color, pickup will rotate
forward by one day the week of the holiday:
Monday, Sept. 3:
NO COLLECTION
Tuesday, Sept. 4: Gray
Wednesday, Sept. 5: Navy
Thursday, Sept. 6: Pink
Friday, Sept. 7: Ruby
Monday, Sept. 10: Gold
The color-coded collection schedule will rotate forward
again on Veterans Day, Monday, Nov. 12.
For residents not assigned a collection color: If your collection day falls on or
after the holiday, your trash pickup will be delayed by one day during the week
of the holiday.
Recycling and Yard Waste Collection
Bi-weekly recycling and yard-waste service with a
collection day that falls on or after the holiday will be delayed by one day
during the week of the holiday, with Friday’s collection occurring on
Saturday.

Parking Meters: Motorists
may park free-of-charge at meters on Monday, Sept. 3. Parking restriction
signage at some meters will be enforced, including but not limited to morning
and evening rush hours and zones marked for valets, taxis, loading,
handicapped-only and residential parking permit areas.
Offices Closed: City
offices, including the Parking Services Division and the Right-of-Way Permits Office will be
closed on Monday, Sept. 3.
