Special Sunday Hours

Parking Services will be open from 9:00am to 1:00pm on Sundays following OSU home football games for motorists whose vehicles are impounded for illegal parking before and during OSU home football games. The hours apply to these Sundays:

  • Sunday, September 5, 2020 (Bowling Green)
  • Sunday, September 19, 2020 (Buffalo)
  • Sunday, September 26, 2020 (Rutgers)
  • Sunday, October 10, 2020 (Iowa)
  • Sunday, October 31, 2020 (Nebraska)
  • Sunday, November 7, 2020 (Indiana)
  • Sunday, November 28, 2020 (Michigan)

Parking Services provides motorists these friendly reminders to prevent being ticketed or towed for illegal parking at parking meters or other locations within the City:

  • Before you park, always check posted signage for hours of enforcement, no parking zones, residential permit-only zones, handicapped-only parking, loading zones, taxi zones and valet zones. Vehicles illegally parked in these areas are subject to ticketing and possible impoundment.
  • Always check the hours of enforcement posted on a parking meter or adjacent signage to make sure you purchase enough time on the meter.
  • Vehicles parked at expired meters during enforcement hours are subject to ticketing and possible impoundment.
  • Vehicles parked at parking meters that are bagged are subject to ticketing and possible impoundment
  • If you have any doubt whether you can legally park in a spot, go to the next nearest parking spot where you are certain you can park legally.

Fans who choose to ride their bicycles to the game can park their bikes in the Pedal Instead bike corrals operated and staffed by Yay Bikes! volunteers.   Bicyclists riding after sunset and before sunrise are required by law to have operational headlights, taillights, and reflectors on their bikes.

Motorists are reminded to share the road legally and safely with cyclists and watch for pedestrians.

The city of Columbus reminds fans to drive and bike safely and responsibly.
