The Big Darby Watershed in central Ohio is one of the most biologically diverse aquatic systems in the Midwest, home to 38 rare species of fish and mussels including state and federally listed species. Big and Little Darby creeks have been designated as State and National Scenic Rivers. The City of Columbus has worked alongside of more than 10 other jurisdictions as part of the Big Darby Accord to develop and implement a plan to guide development and conservation in the area.
