Hilltop West Broad Street Streetscape
This project will deliver enhancements to West
Broad Street in the Hilltop from the City’s western corporation limit just east
of Wilson Road to Terrace Avenue. A streetscape project was completed on W.
Broad Street between Terrace Avenue and Highland Avenue in 2016. This new
project will pick up at the western terminus of the previous streetscape with
improved sidewalks, traffic signals, crosswalks, street lighting, and street
trees. Upgrades to the traffic signals, crosswalks, and street lighting within
the limits of the 2016 project will also be performed.
Current Status (as of 9-20-2019)
The City is engaging its consulting team to
perform detailed design of the streetscape outside the curbs. The roadway will
be resurfaced under a separate ODOT/City Urban Paving project coordinated with
the City’s streetscape construction. The resurfaced roadway will include 5
travel lanes with one lane of dedicated on-street parking and off-peak parking
on the opposite side of the street.
