About the 911 Emergency Communications Center
The City of Columbus 911 Emergency Communications Center (ECC) is the primary public safety dispatch center for the City of Columbus. The ECC is currently staffed by over 27 Emergency Call Takers, 75 Emergency Dispatchers, 14 Emergency Communication Specialists, and 1 ECC Manager. The ECC receives over 1.3 million calls a year requesting public service within the City of Columbus. The people answering those calls for service are the FIRST responders to the emergencies that take place every day.
