Alum Creek Trunk (Middle) Rehabilitation Phase C
This project will perform rehabilitation of the City's Alum Creek Trunk Sewer Middle Section in accordance with the requirements of the OEPA consent order. The work will consist of manhole to manhole interior repair of the existing concrete pipe by applying a sprayed concrete mixture to the interior surface. Existing manholes will be repaired within the project limits.
The project site encompasses work near the intersection of Alum Creek and E. Main Street and terminates near the intersection of Alum Creek and E. Livingston Avenue. During construction the contractor will be required to maintain sanitary service to nearby area businesses.
The project will be advertised for bid in the summer of 2019 and the City will issue the Notice to Proceed in the fall of 2019 pending final approval from OEPA. The project is due to be completed in the winter of 2020. Traffic impacts should be minimal and will be coordinated with Paving the Way.
The Ohio EPA has completed a Limited Environmental Review (LER) for this project. View the LER and the letter of "Notice of Issuance of a Limited Environmental Review and Final Finding of No Significant Impact to All Interested Citizens, Organizations and Government Agencies."
Financing for this project is being provided by a below-market rate loan obtained through the OEPA’s Water Pollution Control Loan Fund (WPCLF) and the debt is being serviced through City of Columbus sanitary sewer revenue.
