Our hours are changing on February 3rd
On Monday, February 3, the Division of Income Tax will be changing its public hours to 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.The Division has historically been open from
8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
This change will:
- Have minimal impact to
taxpayers, practitioners, and businesses.
Our team has examined our call and walk-in data and discovered that
traffic during the hours of 8:00-9:00 and 4:00-5:00 is insignificant
outside of tax season.
- Promote flexibility in
scheduling. Employees are often limited
when scheduling morning/afternoon appointments in order to provide
just-in-case coverage.
- Allow for focused work time.
This will also give our employees time at the beginning and end of the day
for focused work before and after serving walk-in taxpayers or taking
phone calls.
In mid-March, the Division will
announce expanded public hours on both weekdays and weekends to serve taxpayers
and practitioners as the filing deadline approaches. These hours will be posted
on our website as well as announced via our email list.
We thank you for your flexibility as we work to serve you more efficiently. Our
hours may be changing, but our commitment to provide high-quality service to
our taxpayers remains the same.
