What:
President Pro Tem and Finance Committee Chair Elizabeth Brownwill conduct a Finance Committee public hearing to announce amendments to the City of Columbus' 2020 Operating Budget.
“That Columbus is growing is a fact. But ensuring that it will grow equitably is our focus every day on Columbus City Council,” said Pro Tem Brown. “This year's budget amendments further align the city's spending priorities with our goal to help families in every neighborhood succeed.”
Council reviewed the operating budget and proposed amendments that align with its collective priorities to build pathways out of poverty, create good paying jobs, and strengthen neighborhoods and will continue to support work in these areas throughout the year.
All interested citizens are invited to offer public testimony. Comments will be limited to three (3) minutes. Individuals wishing to offer testimony must fill out a speaker slip at City Hall, between 8am and the scheduled start time on the day of the hearing.
This hearing is available live stream on the CTV website and broadcast on Spectrum, Channel 1024; WOW, Channel 3 and AT&T U-verse, Channel 99. The video will also be posted on the City of Columbus YouTube channel following the event.
