Council Pledges Support for Mayor and Columbus Public Health
Columbus, OH -- Columbus City Council will vote on resolution 0064x-2020 to
express support for Mayor Ginther and the Health Commissioner Dr. Mysheika
Roberts during this current public health crisis, and to urge community leaders
to take action necessary for the preservation of the health, welfare, and
safety of Columbus residents.
“This is a time when we must fulfill our roles and responsibilities
as governing bodies to help every resident in our community,” said Hardin. “We
stand with Governor DeWine, Columbus Public Health, Columbus City Schools,
Franklin County Commissioners, and Mayor Ginther to collectively lead us toward
a stronger tomorrow.”
As the City of Columbus works to manage and control the impact
of the pandemic known as COVID-19, the City must maintain a sense of community
and kinship. It should be foremost in the minds of everyone as to how this
pandemic is affecting those most at-risk.
