Columbus Public Service Changes Due to Independence Day

Collection:
Columbus trash
collection service will not be provided on Friday, July 3, in observance of Independence Day.
For residents
assigned a collection color, pickup will rotate forward by one day the week of
the holiday:

The color-coded
collection schedule will rotate forward again on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 7.
For
residents not assigned a collection color: If your collection day falls on or after
the holiday, your trash pickup will be delayed by one day during the week of
the holiday.
Recycling
and Yard Waste Collection:
Biweekly recycling and
yard waste collection will still occur on Friday, July 3, for residents whose
service is scheduled for that day.

Parking
Meters: Meters
will be enforced on Friday, July 3, but motorists may park free of charge at
meters on Saturday, July
4. Parking restriction signage at some meters will be
enforced, including but not limited to morning and evening rush hours and zones
marked for valets, taxis, loading, handicapped-only and residential parking
permit areas.
Offices
Closed: Department
offices, including the Parking Services Division and
the Right-of-Way Permits Office, will be
closed on Friday, July 3.
