WHAT:
Councilmember Shayla Favor, chair of the Criminal Justice Committee, is hosting a public hearing to discuss proposed Hate Group Affiliation legislation in alignment with Council’s Re-Imagining Policing legislative package.
Any resident seeking to submit testimony in favor of or in opposition to the proposed legislation, is advised to submit their testimony to Councilmember Favor's office.
Written testimony must be received by 3pm on the day of the meeting. Testimony should be emailed to Charles Newman at [email protected]. For written testimony, please include the following message in the subject line of the e-mail: “Written Testimony For 7/13 Hearing”
Any resident wishing to appear via WebEx to provide oral testimony during the virtual hearing, should email Charles Newman at [email protected] by 3pm on the day of the hearing to request a WebEx speaker link. For oral testimony, please include the following message in the subject line of the e-mail: “Oral Testimony For 7/13 Hearing”
This hearing is available live stream on the CTV website and broadcast on Spectrum, Channel 1024; WOW, Channel 3 and AT&T U-verse, Channel 99. The video will also be posted on the City of Columbus YouTube channel following the event.
