What:
On June 22, 2021, at 5pm, Council President Shannon G. Hardin will convene the Small and Minority Business Committee to review the Office of Diversity and Inclusion's plan to increase supplier diversity.
The City’s 2019 disparity study confirmed clear and persistent disparities in City contracting, negatively impacting women and people of color. The purpose of this hearing is to review potential remedies to long-standing inequities in City contracting.
Any resident seeking to submit written testimony should share it with the office of Council President Hardin. Written testimony must be received by 4pm on the day of the hearing and emailed to Linda Capobianco at [email protected].
Residents who want to provide testimony via WebEx during the virtual hearing must email Linda Capobianco at [email protected] by noon on the day of the hearing to request a WebEx speaker link. Each speaker's remarks are limited to three minutes or less.
The hearing will be live-streamed on the City’s YouTube channel and Facebook.
