Council to Hold Pre-bidders' Conference for Racial Equity Collaborative
In August 2020, Council created the Racial Equity Collaborative, an internal equity team focused on supporting the community’s access to opportunity while empowering all residents to engage with local government. The collaborative is now focusing on evaluating internal policies and practices to ensure the City in being as equitable and inclusive as possible and is looking for proposals to support this work.

Disparities in our laws and public policies, and in our public and private institutions, have often denied equal opportunity to individuals and communities. In response to this reality, Council created the Racial Equity Collaborative in August 2020. This internal equity team focuses on supporting the community’s access to opportunity while empowering all residents to engage with local government. The Collaborative is now looking to evaluate internal policies and practices to identify and address areas where the City can redress inequities and promote equitable outcomes.
