What:
Council President Shannon Hardin and Councilmember Shayla Favor will join community partners from the Dept. of Development, Community Shelter Board, Columbus Coalition for the Homeless, and Community Development for All People to unveil plans to keep individuals experiencing homelessness warm as temperatures begin to plummet. The plan includes daytime warming centers, temporary overnight warming centers, and contingency sites for extreme cold events, including snow emergencies and sub-zero temperatures.
