William A. Grobman, MD, MBA
Professor
in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Vice-Chair of the
Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology
The Ohio State University
After receiving his BA from
Amherst College and his MD from Harvard Medical School, Dr. Grobman undertook
training in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine at
Northwestern University. During his fellowship training, he completed an MBA in
Health Services Administration and Decision Sciences at Northwestern’s Kellogg
School of Management. After completing his training, Dr. Grobman continued as
faculty at the Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University with
appointments in the Departments of Obstetrics and Gynecology and in Preventive
Medicine, until his move in 2021 to the Ohio State University, where he is
presently a tenured professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology
and the Vice-Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is the
Past President of the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine and on the American
Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology Board of Directors. His research has focused
on predicting and preventing adverse obstetric outcomes, optimizing obstetric
health services, and eliminating health disparities; he has been the PI on
multiple NIH and foundation grants, authored more than 600 peer-reviewed
publications, and is a member of the National Academy of Medicine.
