Students selected for the program will be placed in one of the following offices:

- Legislative Research Office
- Clerk's Office
The program will immerse students in the daily work of City Council. From Council meetings to public hearings to community outreach, students will get a hands-on experience inside City Hall.
"Interning at Council has been such an enriching experience! The entire team is welcoming and supportive, and it’s really fascinating to see the inner workings of local government," says Communications Intern Georgia Bain. "I have gained a ton of valuable, hands-on experience, from expanding my literacy in local issues and policy to sharpening my writing skills. If you are interested in public affairs or policy, I cannot recommend this program enough!"
You can find more details about the program and the application at www.columbus.gov/internship.
The deadline to apply is Friday, April 7. The program will begin in mid-May.
