Park Hours:

History
The property was purchased by the City of Columbus in 1839 from Matthew King, for a mere $1,125.00. From the time of the purchase through 1850, it was used as a graveyard. The graves were eventually moved to the Greenlawn Cemetery. In 1885 however, the city transformed the site into a park. Livingston Park is the oldest piece of park property in the City of Columbus. (Whereas Goodale Park is the oldest "developed" park.) Additionally, this park features a new trellis and educational signage in the park depicting the culture and history of the Livingston Avenue neighborhood. (Installed in 2012)
