Thurber is a half acre street island park that was originally acquired by the City of Columbus back in 1870. The small area contains a gazebo, walkways, sculptures, trees and lights. Thurber is often used for special events. The park was named in honor of James Thurber, the world renown author, who once lived in house next to park.
