AIDS Walk Advisory

For Immediate Release

This weekend around the Buckeye State, thousands of people will be taking part in AIDS Walk Ohio, to raise money and awareness for HIV/AIDS service organizations through education and promotional activities. Councilmember Shannon Hardin encourages Columbus area residents to support the 2015 Robert J. Fass Memorial AIDS Walk Central Ohio, by joining him and other Councilmembers this Saturday, April 18, 9 a.m., at McFerson Commons in the Arena District.

“AIDS Resource Center Ohio and Columbus Public Health Department are two excellent resources for HIV/AIDS services,” Councilmember Hardin said.   “The Columbus Public Health provides confidential testing and nationally recognized educational campaigns to keep our community safe and healthy.”

Along with testing services, Columbus Public Health offers numerous other resources dealing with HIV/AIDS awareness.    A complete list of services can be found on the department’s website or by calling (614) 645-7772. For more info on the AIDS Resource Center, please click here.
