WHAT:
The Citizens’ Commission on Elected Official Compensation will
hold their fourth meeting to study and recommend compensation levels for the
mayor, council, city attorney, and auditor. The Commission, made up of five
Columbus residents, adds an additional layer of citizen engagement and
accountability to the process of setting future pay rates for elected officials
in Columbus and was mandated by recent changes to the Columbus City Charter
overwhelmingly approved by Columbus voters last November. The meeting will
be taped for broadcast on CTV, Columbus’ cable access channel 3 on local cable
systems and is open to the public. Residents can review all Commission
documents, view previous meetings, and make comments or suggestions at the Commission’s website.
