The Columbus Division of Police will host a free Police Officer Expo, Thursday, May 14, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Chief James G. Jackson Columbus Police Academy. Adults interested in
learning more about a career in law enforcement are encouraged to attend.
Attendees will receive hands-on exposure to many aspects of the job, including: familiarization with firearms, the opportunity to wear the gun belt, a preview of defensive tactics, and a driving simulator. Current Columbus police officers will be in
attendance to answer questions and talk one-on-one with attendees.
