Columbus City Council Re-Elects Ginther Council President

(Columbus)--Columbus City Councilmembers have unanimously
re-elected Andrew J. Ginther President of the City Council. Ginther, a councilmember since 2007, has
served as Council President since January 2011 and has also chaired the Finance
& Economic Development, Public Safety, and Public Utilities Committees.
“I want to thank my fellow councilmembers for their vote of
confidence in me, and the community for its strong support of this Council,”
said President Ginther. “It is an honor
to serve as Council President and I promise to continue to focus on the issues
that are most important to our residents, including the health and safety of
our neighborhoods and the continued economic development of Columbus and
Central Ohio."
Councilmembers also re-elected A. Troy Miller President Pro
Tem for a second consecutive term in the leadership position. Miller currently chairs the Small &
Minority Business Development, Technology, and Zoning Committees.
