Two local companies plan to expand their operations and create 115 additional jobs while retaining 429 jobs with the passage of legislation by Columbus City Council. Mayor Michael B. Coleman asked City Council to approve legislation for Information Control Company and Eloquii Design, Inc.  Combined, the two companies would create approximately 115 new jobs in Columbus.

“Columbus continues to be one of the best cities for economic opportunity in the nation,” said Mayor Michael B. Coleman. “I’m proud that these companies have chosen Columbus to expand their business, and we look forward to supporting them along the way.”

Columbus proposed a 50 percent, five-year Downtown Office Incentive for Eloquii, an e-commerce retail business, to relocate its operations to Two Miranova Place. The company will create 40 new full-time permanent positions and relocate six full-time positions, with an annual payroll of $4.51 million.

The city will also enter into a 25 percent, five-year jobs growth incentive agreement with Information Control Company.  Information Control is a leading provider of business technology solutions. The company plans to expand its operations, adding an additional 10,000 square feet within the same building on Corporate Exchange Drive. They will create 75 new full-time positions and retain 423 full-time permanent positions with an estimated new annual payroll of approximately $4.875 million.

“We are proud to support businesses that invest in Columbus,” said Councilmember Michelle Mills, chair of the Development Committee. “Information Control Company and Eloquii Design are making our city stronger by expanding their local operations and creating new jobs and opportunities for our workforce.”
