Council President Ginther's Statement on the 6th Circuit Court's Ruling:
"I am deeply disappointed by the 6th Circuit Court's ruling against equality for committed LGBT couples. However, in spite of the court's decision, I continue to believe that we are not far from the day when all loving couples and families in Ohio are treated equally under the law.
“Marriage equality is coming to Ohio, and when it does, our state will finally take its place on the right side of history. Until then, I hope that LGBT Ohioans will keep the faith, continue sharing their stories, and remain certain, as I am, of the ultimate triumph of fairness and justice over discrimination and division.”
