Councilmember Page Joins Recreation and Parks Department, Students To Celebrate Arbor Day
Councilmember Jaiza Page joined students from Trevitt Elementary School and leaders from the Recreation and Parks Department on Friday at Mayme Moore Park on the Near East Side to plant a tree in celebration of Arbor Day. Plant a tree and take part in planting a future of conservation!
“Arbor Day is a special day and we all should be aware of the importance of trees and the role that they play in helping enhance our neighborhoods,” Page said.
Councilmember Page encourages everyone to plant a tree to help improve our environment. Friday's event also included a generous donation by Eye Columbus to help the city purchase trees.
