WHAT:
The
Citizens’ Commission on Elected Official Compensation will hold its final
meeting to review the recommended compensation levels for the mayor, council,
city attorney, and auditor. More information on the recommendations can be
viewed at the Commission’s Web
site.
Public
testimony is welcome and speakers may sign up to speak per the rules of City
Council. The meeting will also be taped for broadcast on CTV Columbus' cable
access channel 3 on local cable systems.
The
Commission, made up of five Columbus residents, adds an additional layer of
citizen engagement and accountability to the process of setting future pay
rates for elected officials in Columbus and was mandated by recent changes to
the Columbus City Charter overwhelmingly approved by Columbus voters last
November.
