In a memo to city councilmembers, President Ginther outlined the appointment process and announced applications for the seat will be accepted beginning today. Applicants must submit eight copies of a resume and cover letter outlining their qualifications to serve the unexpired term.

Application materials must be accepted and time-stamped by the office of the Columbus City Clerk in City Hall, 90 West Broad Street, Room 231, Columbus, OH 43215 by Friday, Sept. 11, 12:00 noon.

A Council vote on the appointment is tentatively scheduled for Monday, Sept. 21. The first meeting for the new member of Council would be Monday, Sept. 28.
