Fran Ryan Selected As Councilmember
Columbus City Councilmembers have selected Fran Ryan to
fulfill an unexpired term on Columbus City Council. Ryan, a long
time public servant who was a City Councilmember from 1971-77, will serve
until January 1, 2016.
"Fran is one of the most respected community
leaders in Columbus," said Council President Andrew J. Ginther.
"Her prior service on Council, experience working in city government and
on behalf of Columbus residents makes her the ideal person to help lead this
great City."
Ryan is currently the Senior Services Coordinator for the
City of Columbus. In addition to her service as a Councilmember,
Ryan served six years as Columbus City Council Clerk and was a Regional
Representative for the U.S. Department of Labor.
