“I JUST WANT US TO BE HEARD”: A QUALITATIVE STUDY OF PERINATAL EXPERIENCES AMONG WOMEN OF COLOR
Thirty-two Black women held nothing back. They were honest. They didn’t hide their emotions when it came to sharing their stories about birth – before, during and after.
The women participated in a research study conducted by Nationwide Children’s Hospital. The purpose of the study was twofold; to understand the experiences of women of color as they relate to pregnancy; to reduce racial health disparities as outlined in CelebrateOne’s strategic plan.
