Council Releases Statement on the Passing of Reverend Dr. Charles E. Booth

Columbus City Council offers our deepest condolences to the family, faith community and the members of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church on the passing of Reverend Dr. Charles E. Booth.
Booth was a giant in the community, reaching beyond the pulpit as an activist on the issues of poverty, criminal justice and civil rights. His message and ministry will live on in the generations he touched during his more than 50 years of pastoral leadership. He will truly be missed.
