Columbus City Council Mourns the Loss of Columbus Division of Police Officer Jason Jackson

Shannon G. Hardin releases the following statement regarding the passing of
Recruitment Officer Jason Jackson:
“I
am deeply saddened at the passing of Officer Jason Jackson. He served this
community for 24 years as a police officer and was a life-long community
advocate and role model. He helped countless young people in our city both
personally and professionally. As a recruitment officer, he taught cadets a
love for public service. He had a joyous spirit and a wonderful smile that
brought joy to those around him. I offer my most sincere condolences to former
Police Chief James Jackson and the family during their time of need.”
