Sip and Stroll Comes to North Market
Councilmember Michael Stinziano Celebrates New Opportunity for Small Businesses[COLUMBUS-OH] The North Market, one of Columbus’ largest tourist attractions, has another opportunity to showcase its small businesses and entrepreneurs thanks in part to the legislative work Columbus City Councilmember Michael Stinziano began while working in the Statehouse.
On Friday, September 2, from 4-7pm, Councilmember Michael Stinziano will help kick-off the North Market’s first “Sip and Stroll” events featuring drinks from local vendor Barrel & Bottle, food specials and live entertainment.
“I am excited to see that an issue brought to my office two-years ago was transformed into legislation that not only improves our small business climate, but also supports one of Columbus’ treasured gathering places,” said Councilmember Stinziano.
The bi-partisan legislation was co-sponsored by Stinziano and Representative Mike Duffey.
“This is what is happening in supermarkets across the city,” Stinziano continued. “The North Market is such a vibrant place, with diverse vendors who have great ideas to move us forward. Finding common sense solutions and listening to needs of residents is what I care about as an elected official.
Billed the “Happiest of Hours,” the North Market celebration will continue Tuesday-Friday, 4-7pm, throughout the month of September.
