German Village Parking Plan

The Division of Mobility and Parking Services is actively working to improve mobility and parking options in the German Village and surrounding neighborhoods. We recognize the character of the neighborhood is unique and requires a customized approach to meet the needs of residents, businesses and visitors.

In the spring of 2023, the Division kicked off the public engagement process with an open house style meeting held at the German Village Meeting Haus. This was an opportunity to listen to the challenges, perceptions and needs related to mobility and parking. The feedback received will help guide a parking study that will take place over the summer 2023.

Upon completion of the parking study, we will begin to develop recommendations that address needs and make the neighborhood more accessible to all.

This page will be updated periodically to reflect the status of the German Village Parking Management Plan.

Tentative Timeline

• Spring 2023: Define parking study area and determine data collection days and times
• Summer 2023: Form stakeholder groups and collect data
• Winter 2023: Analyze parking data and hold public meetings to present findings
• Spring 2024: Stakeholder working group meetings and develop recommendations
